Saturday Sessions Sunday Sessions Presenter/session Descriptions (For session changes/ cancellations/ additions: see underneath) Peace River, Alberta November 14th &15th, 2009 Northern Lakes College, (9:30-4p.m) (behind the Nova Hotel, top of the West Hill) Featuring: Displayers of wind, solar, geothermal systems, biomass, builders with high insulation factor materials Tours of residences and businesses AND the new Peace Regional Eco-Centre, all of which utilize alternative energy systems. Sessions on installation of alternative energy systems, how to conserve energy in your existing home, or when building a new home, or building green Saturday evening “Hundred-Mile-Supper” with products from the Peace Country featured in a catered meal. | 100 Mile Meal details: Place: Lower Hall - First Baptist Church 8602 98 St., (north of Glenmary School track), Peace River Date: Saturday, November 14th Time: doors open at 5:30, supper is at 6 Meal: catered by Java Domainn, will include a menu from the Peace Country with an assortment of meat & veggies to entice the pallet. The dessert will be an evening capper. Speaker: Chris Turner, journalist & author of "The Geography of Hope". Chris will share some very inspiring stories of global action to make our lives more sustainable for the earth.
