The Peace Regional
Eco-Centre
The Peace Regional Eco-Centre is to
be situated in the Town of Peace
River, just south of ATCO on the
West Hill.
The our alternative energy building
design is being worked on.
The possible date when the
Eco-Centre could open may be as
early as this fall, perhaps next spring.

Initiatives Currently Being Explored
- Beverage container capture increase
through a pick-up service - Salvage from construction & demolition is
being explored - we are looking for a
possible site to house the operation - Education opportunities in alternative
energy systems and reducing building
energy consumption through conservation
and efficiency.

Closed Sunday and Holidays
If the white cardboard bins are full at the Recycle Plus sites - during working hours,
bring your cardboard to our back doors - and throw it on the pile!

| Initiative: Beverage Container Capture Partnership In Partnership with Alberta Beverage Container Recycling Council (ABCRC), the Recycling Society will be putting beverage container capture bins for juice boxes, pop bottles, and pop cans around Town. The bins will be regularly emptied by our summer student. If you would like your store of beverage containers taken away, call us! 625-6309 |
